AeroAstro Appoints Vice President and General Manager
Goldstein Rejoins Company to Lead Global Communications Solutions



Ashburn, VA, September 18, 2005 /AEROASTRO, INC./ AeroAstro, Inc., a microsatellite and communications technology pioneer, today announced that David J. Goldstein will rejoin AeroAstro as Vice President and General Manager, Global Communications Solutions.

As a member of AeroAstro's upper management team, Goldstein will lead the Sensor Enabled Notification System (SENS) business activities. His primary responsibility will be to support existing customers and Value-Added Resellers (VARs), upgrade the technology available to the marketplace, form strategic partnerships, and support the company's continued growth in existing and new markets.

"David combines an understanding of the business and of the technology in ways that will enable our team to deliver solutions to our customers that change the way they and we operate," said Dr. Rick Fleeter, President and CEO of AeroAstro. Goldstein worked for over 6 years at AeroAstro, most recently as Vice President for Business Development from 1999-2002, working with AeroAstro's Board and senior management to lead a turnaround in the business that saw sales double annually and revenue grow by 1400%. During this period, Goldstein, along with Fleeter, led the initial concept development and launch of SENS and wrote the business case for the system which resulted in investor funding and the first SENS sale. He departed in 2002 to pursue graduate study at Harvard University.

Goldstein most recently comes from the World Bank, where he has developed the Bank's infrastructure-related carbon finance portfolio in India and supported the Bank's financial sector strategy in Central Europe and Latin America. Goldstein has also held positions at NASA Goddard and with several small start-ups.

Goldstein has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University with a focus on economics and finance. His Masters work included coursework at the Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government. He has published extensively and holds several patents in the U.S. and Europe.
