About the WhereWolf

WhereWolf The WhereWolf is a miniaturized tracking and data telemetry device that allows you to locate or communicate with your assets nearly anywhere in the world. The WhereWolf board provides all of the electronics needed to integrate any sensor (analog or digital) with the satellite-based STX2 modem for rapid introduction of your tracking or telemetry device into the marketplace. All interfaces are built in, and with easy-tocustomize software, power source and enclosure, a new device can be brought to market inexpensively and on a rapid timetable. Small and Reliable

This tiny unit, only 6.6 cm x 6.3 cm x 2.8 cm, contains a STX2 (Satellite Transmitter Unit) modem, GPS receiver, dual frequency antenna, asynchronous serial interface, on-board processor and power conditioning electronics. Since WhereWolf's stand-alone configuration carries an internal processor, no external electronics are required.

WhereWolf The WhereWolf remains in sleep mode most of the time. It transmits data on a customizable daily schedule or on an exception alarm basis using 3.3V @ 800 mA, with each transmission lasting about one second. The WhereWolf automatically switches back into sleep mode until its next autonomous transmission. The WhereWolf device bypasses terrestrial communications networks entirely and communicates directly with a satellite relay network using AeroAstro's Sensor Enabled Notification System (SENS). Because WhereWolf is a true satellite modem, it operates 100% reliably when other modes of communication such as cellular drop off, even in very remote or disaster-affected areas. When a message is sent to the satellite network, it is repeated multiple times to ensure message receipt and users are only charged for one unique transmission.
